Pro-active is better than Re-Active!

If you've ever had a server go down when you were in the middle of an important proposal then I'm sure you'd have done almost anything to get the system up and running in minutes rather than hours. Wouldn't it be great for example if you'd known days ago that the server was reaching its storage limit and was about to fail. If you'd known, you could have had the problem looked at before it impacted your business.

At 1st Solution we aim to deliver 100% uptime on all key server systems covered by our TotalCare or Premium Enterprise monitored support service. This is achieved by operating a pro-active support service incorporating state of the art remote server monitoring geared to identifying and resolving problems before they can impact your business.

How it works

The service works through the use of what we call "service probes" which continually report back to our central monitoring servers 24 hours a day 365 days a year. Installed on host managed systems, these probes enable us to spot simple and more complex trends or failures in a host of services and usage data and use them to generate "call to action" support tickets to our support team if they are not running optimally. If an issue is flagged our support team will then investigate the problem and resolve it typically without any downtime or interruption of the normal working day.

What can we monitor?

Typically the minimum we would recommend for monitoring would be your network servers, although it is possible for us to monitor much more including pretty much anything on your local network and the devices which connect it to the internet.

As standard we monitor key health parameters of your servers like CPU, memory and disk utilization which enables us to act quickly on issues which can easily be avoided but which cause the most problems on Windows server based systems.
