Bonded Broadband
Bonded ADSL involves combining 2 or more WAN connections into a single 'virtual' connection to achieve faster download and upload bandwidth speeds and increased reliability. Implementing a 1st Solution bonded ADSL solution requires a UBM bonding appliance at the customer premise (CPE) which connects to our high performance “bonding central” system at our resilient data centre. The virtual bonded connection combines the bandwidth capacity of each circuit connected to the UBM appliance and presents itself to the network via a single cable and public IP address range. No Network Address Translation takes place.
The diagram below shows a typical bonded ADSL solution:

Benefits of Bonded ADSL
-
Higher bandwidth capacity
Increase the capacity of your Internet connections, to provide greater speeds for inter site VPN links, and boost download speeds. -
Internet resilience
Ensure a continuous connection with no interruption to services. If an Internet connection fails, our bonded solution will keep you connected through other active connections with no gap in service. -
Reduce limitations of Internet technologies
Reduce the impact of contention ratios and distance of DSL connections to the local exchange. -
Aggregate multiple connections
Add additional Internet connections as your requirements determine without waiting for infrastructure developments or upgrades. We can typically deploy in a quarter of the time it would take for a lease line installation. -
Scalability
Simply add (or remove) Internet connections as your organisation needs change. -
Cost effective
Bond multiple low-cost ADSL connections for high speed and added resilience as an alternative to expensive leased line solutions.
